Among scents, colors and flavors from around the world, repeats since 1998, the Cous Cous Fest, one of the most interesting gastronomic events of the summer of San Vito Lo Capo.  Cous Cous Fest is the international festival of cultural integration. A festival of flavors and civilization that celebrates the couscous as a dish of peace, integration and exchange. It stems from the desire to put around a simple dish of Mediterranean cuisine, the passion for food, cultural exchange and integration between peoples. A major challenge, on which focuses for 10 days in September, the interest of the whole culinary world and not only.

The whole village during the event becomes a large permanent gastronomic laboratory. The most original recipes and the ancient flavors blend giving space to the imagination without forgetting the tradition. In the gastronomic village, there are numerous stands where you can enjoy more than 40 different recipes of cous cous, every day, from 12:00 to 24:00 ... choose will be a problem! You can not miss the most delicious sweets of the Sicilian tradition: cannoli, waterfalls or almond biscuits ... naturally combined with excellent local wines. For those who want to learn how to make couscous and discover the technique of incocciatura, it will be possible to participate in the lessons held in the many gastronomic workshops.

Throughout the week you can participate in the cooking show where you can taste the recipes prepared directly by renowned chefs, in a friendly and relaxing atmosphere, listening to their anecdotes and their little secrets. An unmissable opportunity for those who love good food and culinary culture. A real pleasure for those who, sipping a good glass of Sicilian wine, find themselves sharing the love for the kitchen. The Cooking Shows are limited, you can participate with a ticket of 10 €. The TICKET, for tastings in the HOUSES OF COUS COUS consists of two coupons. The first one gives the right to a portion of couscous, chosen from the menus proposed, and a glass of wine. With the second, you can have a typical Sicilian dessert. Tickets have a cost of 10 euros, you can buy from 12.00 to 24.00 at the three ticket offices of the event that are located in the main streets of the country.

The Cous Cous Fest has hosted many artists including great names such as, Pino Daniele, Edoardo Bennato, Carmen Consoli, Vinicio Capossela, Edoardo Bennato and many others.

The concerts are all free.
